A medium sized dog turned up in my back garden, in the middle of last night. Currently it is laying under a hedge. It was pawing at my patio door last night, but ran off when I opened the door. If you try to approach it does growl so is obviously nervous.

Hi there

Thanks for letting us know. Is the dog still there? Can you take a picture?

Thanks

Alex

Hi Alex,

The dog woke me in the night, twice, and wanted to come in, but was too nervous. We took our own dog out on a leash in the garden this morning as I wasn't sure how she would react and didn't want to scare the other dog. It was still dark as we leave for work very early. The dog dashed across our lawn and from what I could make out in the half light it was a curly haired pale colour. It then hid under one of the hedges. We put food out for it and when we came home the food had gone, but no sign of the dog. Having said that we have a very large garden with lots of trees and hidey holes. I will keep an eye out tonight as I tend to work at my laptop late into the night. What confuses me is how did it get into the garden, we've checked and everything is secure. The only thing we can imagine is that someone opened our side gate and let it in, and although that seems crazy, my daughter told me that she has heard of it happening before. Of course, I'll contact you if I sight it again. What does your dog look like?

It's not my dog unfortunately, I just run this website. Hopefully we can help find the owner. If you do manage to take a picture then please upload here and we will share it on our Facebook and Twitter

Thanks

Alex
