Hi all,

A couple of years ago my Great Uncle died - Allen Dale. It was at his funeral that I found out about a cake that was invented by our family at the shop he used to own (Dale's Dairy)  Someone local made the cake for his wake, and it was delicious! Apparently the cake was called "Baildon Cake" and was made by substituting the butter with cream.

Does anyone have a recipe for this? I would love to keep it going in my family, but unfortunately none of us have it written down! I remember the lady at Allen's funeral said she had it, but I don't have her contact information.

I would appreciate any information any one has!

Thank you,

Sean

Set oven to 140c, grease and paper a loaf tin.
