I am looking to buy or rent something within walking distance of the railway station

Hello everyone. I would like to live in Belper. Preferably within walking distance or a bus ride to the Railway Station.
Ideally I would like to rent somewhere informally until I find something to buy. That could be a property that is currently for sale but sticking ( bearing in mind that the process takes about 3 months)
Maybe you have a spare room for me or a small unfurnished property for me and my stuff that you would be prepared to let on a flexible term to a very respectable and houseproud retired lady.
