New seafront train provider with no trains!
Just seen the traditional train provider has been ousted for one with no trains. Is it going to be like the 'school trains' where everyone holds hands and walks?

probably a virtual train complete with down loadable "App", so everyone can just sit on a bench staring at their iphone and experience the ride without actually having to physically sit on a train!

Like it! Maybe we could program in just sunny days with a soft balmy breeze!

Good job too. the driver once nearly knocked me over and then claimed it was my fault for walking on the prom' The owner later phoned me after I complained to the Council and said I was, apparently, walking the wrong side of the white line the driver followed - How come? No notices to say anything about stay clear of the white line and he had a motor vehicle on a public pedestrian footpath and as my back was facing him how could I see the train was coming? if the guy had hit me and my late wife then we wouldn't be discussing it. KEEP THE TRAIN AWAY and if not make sure the driver has good eye sight and dental plan (if you get the drift?)

With our hearing we too have had problems with vehicles in unexpected places coming up behind us. It's quite scary. We were walking along by a canal once and a speedy cyclist made us jump out of the way- we could easily have landed in the drink. I think general awareness that something unexpected can happen is the best way. My driving instructor said 'treat every other road user as idiots', the same goes for shared pavements and proms.
I do think though that it's a shame the trains isn't running as there must be those at Butlin's who find the walk along the prom too much and would enjoy the ride.
