It was lovely to see the girls in the red outfits marching in town today but do they really need to have their music quite so loud. I wear two hearing aids and they have a safety feature which makes them cut out if the volume is too great. They cut out this morning! I do worry about the effect such noise has on young ears.
You were lucky to have hearing aids that cut out, the rest of us have to suffer the full volume and the awful noise

I don't like to discourage them as it's a way for young people to keep busy and out of trouble. The problem is most likely they have to preform outdoors where there are many other noises to compete with. I certainly do fear for their hearing though.
