Hi, I'm Louise and my maiden name was Chasty. As it's one on the 50 rarest surnames in the UK I was wondering if it had a connection with Chasty the place?
My grandfather Eric Chasty originally came from Devon, was born in 1921 and relocated to Windsor when he married.
I'm currently on holiday in Launceston, Cornwall and will be visiting in the upcoming week. I'd appreciate any information that anyone has as I'm keen to give my own children more insight into the name. They all have Chasty as a middle name, as do i!
