Roman River Festival 2019 – Rural & coastal locations - Wivenhoe

Advance warning of a world-class trio of
musicians coming to perform in St Mary’s at 8pm on Friday 13 September
(interesting date – lucky for Wivenhoe!). Virtuoso clarinetist and composer
Mark Simpson, cellist Leonard Elschenbroich and pianist Rick Uttley will play
trios by Beethoven and Brahms. Beethoven - youthful, perky, tuneful; Brahms –
mellow, autumnal, his farewell. They’ll also perform two of Mark’s own works –
Night Music and Echoes & Embers.
