Hello Doncaster Forum. My name is Jay and I live in Cornwall but am expecting to be moving to Doncaster (or preferably a nearby village) sometime next year.
I am hoping to get a feel of the place before I make the move as A I have never been there and B I don't know a soul that lives there. That said, I lived in Sheffield and the Peak District up to the age of ~ 25 (now almost 60) so I am vaguely familiar with South Yorkshire.
I expect I will be picking the brains of you folk and asking you lots of questions so as to lessen the shock of moving to an entirely new location.
My main interests, in no particular order are genealogy, mineral collecting (micromounts), antique pocket watches and antiquarian books.
