Hi, my name is McDouall, pronounced by our family as in fool, not as in owl.
One of our family has been tracing our ancestry for around 30 years now.
We are descendants of Edward Mc Douall born1765 Galloway, to Alexander McDouall and Elizabeth McWilliam
Has anyone any information that can lead us on the path to who Alexander was. We think he may have been a surgeon. We think he may have been a captain.
I did speak to a Mr McColm of Seabank Drummore in February 1999, who told me some of the history of the McDoualls of Logan, Garthland and Freuch (excuse spelling) but at that time I did not have the family tree, just the name.
Any insights would be gratefully received
