For sale: Harker Of Grassington Family Tree - £125
For Sale two loose leaf books full of "The Family History Of The Harker Family Of Grassington In Wharfdale. I don't really know where to start with this as there's that much. There's a total of 97 copies of birth,wedding,death certificates (Gov. price today to get one copy is £9.00) There's a copy of isabella Carlisles of Grassington will 1884. Copy of James Harkers Will 1783 (With translation) also Ralph Harker starting with James Harker marrying Ann Fawcett 1734. A load of stuff in between and ends with Christine Lesley Markland marrying Ian Hunter 1980. A write up on an author who wrote four book's, there's also a copy of his birth wedding and death certificate. There's copies from the Post Office book 1857,1861 (2), 1867,1877 (2) and 1889,1891,1893(2), 1897 (2),1901,1908,1912,1922,1927,1936. These show what trade a HARKER was doing in those years. There's also an interesting family history of Waddingtons of Rawdon Leeds dated 1993. There's 3 or 4 original certificates. The time and money travelling, petrol would have cost well over a £1.000 for the above. It looks like the certificates are in order. Other places mentioned on the certificates are St Ives, Long Preston, Bolton,Little Bolton, Clun County of Salop. some of these cert's are not in the name of Harker as it look's like the compiler was branching out. In total there's 43 Certificates branching out. Also looks to be copies of Bailey John Harkers (Pastor & Author) Children's Birth Cert's. A Rare lot.
