As usual I googled My Local Forum this morning in order to log in. Instead of the usual home page I was presented with a screen saying that my name is available, and if I want, I can buy it as a domain name. I hope we can have some word of explanation from Jan on this. Either, some scrote has hacked in to try and con people into paying for what essentially is their own- in which case (a) Jan please get your spooks on the case and eliminate them, and (b) all you people out there take this as a warning. You can get in still by googling the heacham forum. Something similar happened on the Eau Brink website not long ago. The other alternative is that this was done with Jan's blessing and is a money making scheme. I hope not. But if so, I repeat my earlier question- as I haven't managed to find the door marked Exit, can anyone please tell me how to leave MLF and cancel my account?

Hi Erik,
It sounds like you may have clicked on a different website to ours as that is certainly nothing to do with our website. If it happens again please can you take a screenshot and send it to us, so we can see what you are seeing?
Thanks.

Will do. As I said though, something similar happened to Eau Brink RSPCA site.

Just clocked the very subtle difference- yours is mlf.co.uk. Scrote's is mlf.com.

Why not put www.mylocalforum.co.uk as a bookmark or icon on your device/computer, then you won't need to search for it each time.

I'm basically a technophobe. I ask my sons to do things like that then get into trouble for being a wussie!
Me too Pete, this is when kids and grand kids can repay us for all the grief!

But they do it so grudgingly and with such a sense of smug superiority.
Surely you aren't saying that they are being patronising?
That would never do.
I am surprised that they haven't suggested that you attend computer classes- you know the ones ,for "people like us"!(as they so sweetly put it).

I'm afraid being retired leaves no time for computer classes!
