Old Heacham
I'm doing some voluntary work at the King's Lynn museum, and a friend/colleague down there is researching the story of the Ruskin School at High House. The founder and his wife lived across the road at the Willows. She kept a diary, and wrote some of it in French, which I've been translating. I've got quite hooked on the story. A number of names of Heacham notables have cropped up, which are still current. The school ran from 1902 to the early 30s; the diary was written during WW1. Also of interest are Lodge Hill Farm, along the old railway track, and the ruined "tower", which I believe was a folly/shooting lodge. Any anecdotes/memories/info on any of these topics would be most welcome.
