Nice to hear from some of the old streetlifers! Hopefully some more will come across who haven't got on with Nextdoor, or who simply didn't want to join it, couldn't really see a massive problem with Nextdoor, after all it was only us who were writing on it, but hey ho, I'll go with the flow!

There's nothing to stop you using Nextdoor as well David. I'm still registered with them but I like this site more. I'm keeping an eye on Nextdoor to see if anything important posted. Hopefully, more old Streetlifers will join this site so  we'll have our community news stream back in one place.

...ace.

I think a fair few people have got feet in both camps! ( Not to mention Facebook, Twitter etc) like you say, most people seem to be veering towards this site, judging by the mood on nextdoor. I still think a lot of people made quick judgements on it, before giving It a chance, with the privacy thing being the main issue. But I can't understand it being "not as friendly" when it's just the same people writing words on a page, or is it the format they were referring to?

I find the Heacham Village Group on Facebook is handy, especially with the weather etc/ power failures being made available,of course it must be the same people on the Nextdoor site and my only issue was the privacy issue.

A bit hypocritical of me actually as I also have a Facebook account of my own for my research etc!
