Hi, I wonder if anyone could help me please,
Hugh Hughes is my 3rd Great Grandfather, I have hit a brick wall regarding his whereabouts prior to 1845, he was a widower when he married Elizabeth Johnston at the age of 56 years, on the census from 1851 & 1861 he his declared to have been born as below
Hugh Hughes born 1789 Holywell, Flintshire, Wales died in Shadworth (Sherburn) County Durham 1861
name of his father John Hughes on the marriage details
Hugh Hughes married Elizabeth Johnson in South Shields, Durham, on 4 May 1845
Hugh Hughes & Elizabeth Johnston were widowers
They had 3 children during their marriage
