Streetlife which was used by a lot of local people has been taken over by an American forum and many people are not happy about it. Perhaps those of us who are local could use Janet's forum for local news. I will put this forum onto Streetlife to see if people will transfer.

Thanks for joining! Yes we would love to host those that want to move from elsewhere.
Myself and Jan have built this website to allow local people to chat for free and swap info etc. If there's anything you need just let us know as we are very open to updating the website to meet the needs of our members!

What would be useful is a tab that led directly to the latest posts save having to search.

I have invited some of my neighbours but there is a problem. You can only invite one at a time as the page has to be reloaded to clear the last name. It keeps putting the same name up again even if you type a new one. Hopefully they will join. They were all on Streetlife.

I too disliked the invasive "privacy" of Nextdoor. This looks more up my street. Fingers crossed.
Posts on Streetlife with the link to this site will be blocked.
I spent much of Sunday sending PMs to people in the Norwich group.
Good luck spreading the word.
