About Marie Curie
Marie Curie Suffolk currently has 28 nurses/healthcare assistants, working on a 25mile radius from their home. We nurse patients diagnosed with a terminal illness, mostly in their homes. Specialist training is given to our nurses to support the need to nurse patients at home, surrounded by their loved ones in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Our nurses mostly work a night shift but that is all depending on the need of the family, this break is vital for the family to gain much needed sleep and have the piece of mind of a professional nursing service that includes the family also. Each hour cost aprox. £20, so all donations are vital. Our nurses work very much in the hub of each community in Suffolk.
