Advice on possible flooding

Hey guys,
I’m new to the area and whilst I absolutely love it I’m just wondering if anyone had any links or info they could share regarding improvements in flood defences and how people tend to prepare themselves and their property for when a warning hits. I’m basically in between Hebden and Mytholmroyd which I know is seen as a vulnerable area.
Any help would be amazing and it’s really just for peace of mind.
