General chitchat

I miss it too 🙁.  Nobody has joined my area yet but I hope as time goes on ex-Streetlifers find this website and begin to use it. On a positive note you are not restricted to one area so you can feel part of a bigger community.

Hi Tracy you are right about the bigger area, I am hoping this discussion will bring some people out of hiding we do not all have something to offer or need advice all the while but so far I have found very little chitchat I can join in with.

Hi Jen - yes I agree.  There was always something going on in our Norwich Streetlife area.  I guess we are a smaller group but having a quick look at other areas we do seem to have more of a 'buzz'.  Hopefully it will pick up.  I wonder how many went to Nextdoor?  

I had an e-mail from a friend in Canterbury today who I'd told about Streetlife last Octber, as she was quite new to the area, she also said how sad she was it has stopped and didn't like the fact that Nextdoor would show her address as there are only 10 houses in her close and it is a bit remote.  Well I do like a chat so I'm happy to keep posting.  

Others have mentioned Streetbank but I haven't looked at that yet.  I do like that you can view messages from other areas - perhaps we can set up 'pen-pal' type messages and make new friends in other part of the country.  Remember those days - I had quite a few pen pals in other parts of the world, sadly we drifted off writing.  I wonder what they are all doing now?  I remember that when I was in the 6th form a friend of mine went on holiday to France and got chatting to a French girl on the beach it turned out she was the pen pal of another friend of ours - 'It's a small, small, world'.

Welcome to the Streetlife Refuge ..... I'm sorry that you are the only one in your area.  I think we're quite lucky that we have quite a few Norwich ex-Streetlifers.  We did set up a campaign to vent our anger at Nextdoor and advertise this site - but Streetlife kept blocking our messages.  

Do keep chatting to us.  Perhaps Jen's 'General Chit-Chat' heading will invite others to join us from other areas.

HeyJan54 I tried before leaving streetlife to give this address on two or three occasions when talking in a post to people who were not happy but not sure it was posted. Tracy sorry you have no one in your area yet hopefully more will join but in the mean time happy to chat.

Yes I liked the chitchat that we had on Streetlife, but I'm sure that we will join in some chitchat on here as well.  It has only more or less just got started, and some are still trying to work their way round the site.

I like playing some of the free games on here, specially the Majone ones (sorry wrong spelling) but I think you know what I mean. They have different types and it gets your brain working.

But if anyone just wants to chat I don't mind having a chat, from anywhere. It would be nice to know what is going on in other parts of the country rather than just Norwich and surrounding areas.

personally I prefer chatchit to chitchat. 

Nice to see you haven't lost your touch Wayne just the sort of thing I was missing.
