Hi MF, yes I have just come over from Streetlife, thanks to your post. I was unable to open your street life post, I was only able to see the heading, (could the admin have blocked it?) but another street lifer had read it and he told me about mylocalforum. It's going to be worth a try. Thank you.

Yes. I was also dismayed to see my flat and street number on Nextdoor. When I closed my account and told them why they said I had the option of concealing that information, but it should never have happened in the first place.

Noted that streetlife has now removed all posts that give this site as an recommendation or has posted its URL, I find it very petty and underhand that they should stoop so low to fend off a competitive alternative.

Why did Streetlife end?
I has been bought out by am american group that is called NextDoor and Streetlife will end in 11 days, the format of nextdoor insists on showing your name and full address for all to see and many feel is an invitation to stalkers and the like also it is an invasion of privacy.
There were a lot of disgruntled posts and links to this and other sites that have now been removed.
I'll keep posting the link. Maybe I'll get banned before it ends lol.
