It is us that makes it successful of course. I propose post something once a day even if you have not got a strict neighbourhood message. For example- Don't forget the birds this winter and a little post on what birds you get in your region. Point being if you post something a bit more random which has a little bit of relevance to our locality it will go a long way to attracting Googles attention. Once there at the top of Google on many varied subjects more people will then see it when they search. The more they see the site the more people will join. Plus Jan may need your help as the administrator to implement good changes to the site to make it a successful community. Will read your posts tomorrow folks. I certainly will make one !

What a good idea Dave. I'll start by saying that this morning in Lakenham we were lucky enough to see a beautiful Sparrowhawk sitting outside on our fence. I feed the birds every day and this bird obviously knew this and was looking for a meal. This time he wasn't successful! Once he flew off the little birds all emerged!

Hi Dave, what's happened to your once a day post.

It's another lovely day to get out in the fresh air. I shall be off for a walk later

I've recently joined GHCGG Grapes Hill Community Garden Group and this year have been able to rent a small raised bed. It's a bit early for much planting yet but my broad beans went in last week and I'm looking forward to spending more time on it

I hope to see more people posting soon. As Dave says the more people who get involve the faster it will grow

Hi Lilian - I keep meaning to pop along to Grapes Hill to help out and for advice about growing veg.  I turned my side garden into a mini veg plot last year with 4 raised beds and a long border along my fence. The gardener who did the landscaping for me put the plants in last year from her stock.   I'm looking forward to starting planting my own scheme for this coming season but haven't done any yet.  When will you be there next it would be nice to see you again. Jan

Nice bright day here in Horsham St Faith. There is a village garden/garage sale planned here for April 1st. My first year last year and although the weather wasn't as good as it could have been I thoroughly enjoyed it. Let's hope this years is even better......I'll confirm more nearer the time and keep you all posted. Steve

Also ex-Streetlifer hoping this forum becomes as successful and helpful as Streetlife once was.

I'm sure it will in time.but I do think S/L a hard act to follow

Agreed, Mary, but it's up to us to make sure it happens - it can only be as good as the members make it.

Good morning all

Think I need to get in the garden this morning before the weather changes.  I need to sort out my Apple Tree as it has started to bud but has very tall twigs on the branches which were hard to reach the apples last year.  Any suggestions you gardeners out there

Dee
