2022 Rainford Walkers

Hello to all 🙋🏻‍♀️

The walking group previously run in Rainford by St Helens Council ended at Christmas. The group has reformed as an informal & independent walking group. We meet every Tuesday morning outside the village hall at 09.15 am. Walks are comfortably paced and take place around the beautiful surrounding countryside lasting between 1-2 hrs. 

ALL are welcome, there are no leaders just a lovely bunch of people and everything is decided as a group. There are no rules just treat other walkers with dignity, kindness and respect.

ALL walkers are responsible for their own health, safety and well-being but we all look out out for each other. 

From spring we are planning to do occasional walks away from the village i.e. Carr Mill Dam, Dream sculpture & Sankey Valley etc.

Please come along and join us, we are a friendly group and very welcoming. 

We mostly use Whatsapp to let the group know if we’re not walking one week etc. However, we’ve literally just set up a facebook page this evening to build the group back up, you can find this fab new walking group here:
