Dog fouling
I am certain that this is a topic circulated on a regular basis, but I feel I must post a new message. As with most of you, I am absolutely disgusted that pavements, children's play areas and sports fields are left with dog mess on them. Twice in the last week, whilst walking my dogs and grandchild I have stood in dog mess disguised by the leaf fall of autumn.
We always pick up any mess our dogs make and so it is even more annoying that there are people in Saxilby who allow their dogs to foul and leave it. There is a call in some towns that people who walk dogs must have bags with them, or they get fined £100 which is a great idea, as you don't then need to catch someone leaving mess, if dog walkers are unable to provide proof that they intend to pick up after their dogs then they can be fined.
People have run over mess with children's buggies, found it on their drive or outside their door, we have a lovely village and the vast majority of our community are responsible, decent folk. I wonder whether we can perhaps circulate my message to take a picture of people leaving mess and send it in to the local council for action. A picture of the dog fouling with the owner and a picture of the mess left as proof. Why should anyone have the horrible task of cleaning shoes or wheels of pushchairs because of irresponsible dog owners?
