I believe that I have family ancestors who once lived in Thoralby and Newbiggin. I visited the village only yesterday, but the village hall was closed. I did manage to speak to a lovely lady with a little dog, but unfortunately was unable to help.
Is there any way of finding out. The name is Hewitson ive got to Ann Hewitson daughter of Joseph and Ann. She was born in 1841. She went on to Marry George Wiseman of Skipton in 1861. From then on the family tree comes down to myself and cousins etc. i was wondering if there were parish records of her parents Joseph and Ann.
