I am new to the area (9 months now). I have had 15 years experience in pantos, plays and variety shows as Sound Effects and Musical director in Norfolk. I did hear that Tickhill once had a AmDram group but ceased due to lack of interest. I would be very interested in starting it up again, or starting a new group. I have all the PA equipment needed for this. I live in Harworth.

There is a thriving amateur theatre in Bawtry. We have our own theatre and are always looking for new members and as it happens we are doing a pantomime in February. Log on to www.bawtrytheatre.co.uk

Thanks for the reply.

As I said in my entry message, I am a sound man and am looking for a group that needs one.

I have been doing this for some 15 years in Norfolk and am quite used to sitting at the back pressing the buttons etc etc.

I will look on your website for your panto dates and come and watch.

We would very much value someone who is a sound man. We have a good modern sound and lighting system but very few people know how to use it and an expert would be great.

If you would like to be involved before the panto, let me know. If you are free on Monday mornings, even THIS morning, the set builders (men in sheds) are usually there or I can arrange for someone to meet you at a more convenient time.

Please don't label me as an 'Expert'. I just enjoy what I do.. Sound effects, backing tracks etc etc.

I don't think I can make this morning though (much as I'd like to) but next Monday will be ok. What sort of time and, of course, where are you (post code is ok...)

Parking on road for an hour or in car park opposite. The guys are there from 10am til about 12.30. Ask for Tony
