Moving to Pakefield

Hello everyone, I'm seriously considering making a move from Essex to Pakefield in the near future.
I've been coming to the area for 10 years now so know the area pretty well.
I'd love some feedback about actually residing there, is it hell for residents in the summer, particularly around the pubs?
Would the social life be good for a very young at heart 60 year old with 2 dogs?
