Looking for a job: babysitter, dog sitter, and tutor - 0 replies

milliedavenport Posted by milliedavenport in Job search in Bristol on Thu Sep 21, 2023 9:06pm

Hello,

my name is Millie, I am 21 and I'm about to go into my final year at Bristol university. I have just spent my year abroad in Spain as a teaching assistant and I'm now back in Bristol. I am looking for some work along side my studies to earn a bit of money to go towards my costs of living at university. I have over 5 years of experience with babysitting and tutoring and I'm able to tutor in a wide range of subjects including Spanish and English. I have babysitting and tutoring experiences with a range of ages (1-18). My timetable this term is relatively free so I have lots of availability. I also have lots of experience with looking after dogs and house sitting. As well as the experience listed above, I have lots of experience in other industries and would be happy to take on any jobs going if suited to me. If this interests you, please contact me.

Thank you🙂

A big thank you to two wonderful people who helped me - Jean to get my husband John into our car after he collapsed on Wednesday 17th November as it was getting dark and we were both very stressed. It is so reassuring to know that help that people can be so kind.

WoT vandalism - 0 replies

WoTForum2908 Posted by WoTForum2908 in Neighbourhood Watch in Bristol on Thu Feb 7, 2019 2:21pm

Hi,
Our shop, Oxfam Books & Music, WoT, had it’s blind broken off last night (Weds 6th Feb). It was accidentally left extended after closing.
One strut was entirely snapped off; I know it was windy but it has a wind-triggered mechanism to automatically retract in gusty weather, so it’s unlikely to’ve been the wind causing the damage – and seeing the nature of the damage, vandalism is most likely.

Could anyone provide any time in the evening when the blind was seen extended undamaged, or seen, but broken?

Many thanks,

Richard Butler,
Shop Manager
