1/2 bed house, bungalow, apartment needed long term rental urgent! - 0 replies

1Archie Posted by 1Archie in Property wanted to rent or buy requests in Burscough on Sat May 14, 2022 2:44pm

Hello everyone,

I’m new here and don’t generally use social media /forums, so please be gentle 😊 as this is all a little new for me.

I’m urgently looking for a long term rental property in Burscough or Lathom.

Well tbh I will look at any area surrounding Burscough. I’m having no luck with all the general routes and a friend suggested I post on some local forums.

I’m a single divorced lady of 47, reliable, respectful and trustworthy.

I left my ex-husband due to domestic violence, ending over 20 years of marriage.

Not a pleasant experience and I am desperately trying to find something smaller than my current property due to health needs, so I can finally re-settle and start again. I have lived in Burscough for over 25 years and I don’t want to have to leave, as I love it here ‘it’s home’.

If anybody out there knows of anybody who is thinking about or currently is trying to rent out a property I would be so grateful if you could let me know.

A 2 bed house, bungalow, apartment 1 or 2 beds I’ll happily consider anything as it is rather urgent.

I can provide references and I’m happy to answer any further questions a landlord may have.

many thanks to you all x

Found: Cat - 0 replies

catbiz Posted by catbiz in Lost and found in Burscough on Sat Jan 29, 2022 11:54am

Hi, I met a very friendly cat on the canal path near the school. Someone from a boat nearby said the cat had come aboard the previous night, but it wasn't theirs.

Wondering if anyone owns it nearby in one of the houses maybe? It followed me until the stile, then went back into the hedge.

It charmed me, I really want to take it home with me but I don't live in Burscough! And also not allowed pets in my flat...I hope this cat already has a loving home.

Ps. I'm terrible with maps so please take the map below with a pinch of salt. I know I walked past the spar coming from the black bull direction, then went down the steps on the left to the canal, walked along for a bit past what looked like a school, then just a little way past the first stile.

Lost: Much loved cat in Mill Lane - 0 replies

jean47 Posted by jean47 in Lost and found in Burscough on Wed Jul 28, 2021 7:24pm

We recently moved to Burscough from Wales with two neutered male cats. We kept them indoors for three weeks. After that we left the door open and after two days they went out. Cheeky has returned, but we have not seen Junior since 27th July.

We are worried about Junior because he will not be able to feed himself as he is disabled and depends on us for food. He has an old injury which causes him to limp badly.

WE would be grateful if you would report any sightings on this site.

Hi everyone,

Just looking for people's opinions of the best schools in the area. My daughter is in her final year of primary school now. I have actually recently got in touch with Scarisbrick Hall School as I have a few friends who have children there so looking to find out more. I am not too sure yet whether state or private school will be best.

Would love others opinions.
