Hi everyone - posting on here because not sure where else to try .. living in Cheshunt (EN8)

Over the last couple of weeks ive noticed our cat (whos allowed out) returning home without his identification charm on his collar, he also used to have a mini charm with a note and address, contact details on it and that note went missing.

Hes just come through the flap wearing just the collar and another ID disk missing , its the keychain kind where I reckon a person would have to pull it open and twist it off. Nobody has contacted at all using the details and I'm getting really worried about it as not sure who is doing this / why.

He is super friendly so my worry is that without clear ID on him he could go missing or not return for some time, hes microchipped but that would require someone to visit a vet to find out (reckon if someone is trying to take him they wouldnt bother with this).

.. if anyone has any advice / tips to help with this it would be much appreciated, I would love to keep allowing him to roam but really anxious /  at a loss with what to do.

If anyone sees Tiger out without his collar on / could give me any insight as to where he roams please contact me [email protected] thank you so much.

Dangerous roundabout - 0 replies

Hi All

This is my first post here, as I’m trying to gather support for improving the safety of the roundabout where Lieutenant Ellis Way meets the A10. Please read my petition to Broxbourne Council to urgently address this issue. We already have over 100 supporters, but the more we get, the stronger will be our case.
Please add your name if you agree with this petition, and also pass this link on to your friends and family. If you know anyone whose children attend St Mary’s school, please also try to get them involved.

Thanks you, Barry

Do you have one hour a week to encourage a young person to achieve all they can in life? @MCRPathways will soon be launching their award-winning mentoring programme across 9 schools in Hertfordshire and they are looking for volunteer mentors to get involved.

Young Herts Talent supports students, who are care-experienced or have experienced disadvantage, with a mentor who they share hobbies, personality traits or career aspirations with. For just one hour a week, you can #BeTheBridge between helping a young person to discover their talents and reaching their potential.

MCR’s programme will be running in schools throughout Cheshunt, Hertford, Stevenage and Tring. No qualifications are needed and full training is provided. Sign up today! https://mcrpathways.org/hertfordshire/

Is there any affordable housing in Cheshunt or nearby? Prices are crazy around here. I asked my MP and councillor and no one really seem to care.

Cheshunt Park access - 0 replies

Gulen78 Posted by Gulen78 in General Cheshunt discussion on Wed Jan 27, 2021 2:07pm

Hi all,

I live close to Cheshunt Park, which is a lovely park, I took my son out in his stroller in the dryer months last year for walks but since the autumn I've struggled to go there to get out with my son in this challenging time of covid. The problem with this park is there are no decent cement path ways to walk comfortably and it appears the park is only good for dog walkers which I have no issue with only that those of us that have young children in strollers, runners and those less physically able can't go for walks in the wetter months safely or with ease, to me this feels like a lack of care from Broxbourne Council and also discrimination. I was wondering if anyone has contacted the council  to challenge them on putting proper walk ways in cheshunt park so we can all enjoy the park and also reduce carbon emissions by walking locally rather then driving to another park that does have proper path ways such as the Lee Valley park or gun powder park? Thanks so much and keep safe, Gulen
