We wish to announce, with great sadness, the passing of our friend John Jeffrey of Boughton Lane, Clowne on Tuesday 15th. November 2022. The funeral will take place at Brimington Crematorium on Tuesday 13th. December at 3.30pm.
John had many friends and acquaintances and we the executors would be pleased if you would join us to give a fond farewell to John.
Please DO get in touch with me if you would like to join us for tea and a slice of cake afterwards. It's helpful to let me know so we can guarantee a slice for everyone.

Can anyone shed any light on a pile of wood that has been "dropped off " on my driveway today ( Bank Holiday Monday 31st May ) between 1 pm- 2.30 pm ?
The items look like old painted skirting boards from an old property( that may be being renovated at the moment) along with other long pieces of wood with lots of nails still in that seem to have been ripped out from the walls of a house.
Is someone missing this pile of wood as it may have been deposited on my drive in error ?
The driver was in a teal coloured transit-type van (which a neighbour viewed ) and I hope this may ring a bell with someone locally .

Victoria emigrated to Canada from Clowne about 1919 and married my great great uncle Clifford Charles Dee. They lived in Bienfait, Saskatchewan. Clifford died in 1932 and I can find no trace of her after this date. I am hoping that a subscriber to this site may have knowledge of the family and possibly some detail on Victoria.
