Hi Alex, I was stationed in Dover , back in 1982, I met a girlfriend from Folkestone, and losted touch with her , when I got injured in Germany, they I was sent back home to NI, I served at home , at time of the troubles  before I transferred to Dover, I can't remember much now, because I suffer from severe PTSD, all I can remember here name was Polly Hamilton or Mackay, she lived in a big double white house, she had a sister , her mum was a teacher, her dad worked for the BBC, she went to Norwich,  to university, she worked in a hotel not far from her big house, what I can remember it was a big white hotel, not to far from the promenade, that's all i can remember, not much to go on is there, and her grandad lived on the other side of the house, he was a professor, thets it , good luck

We are a family of 4 moving to Folkestone in time for school start on 4 September 2023.  Unfortunately the house we are buying will not be available in time and so we are looking for a rental property for a couple of weeks.  Preferably walking distance to Folkestone Primary School.

Hi everyone!

I'm working on an exciting new project to capture Folkestone's musical memories during the last 18 months of restrictions, lockdowns, and social distancing measures.

The aim of the project is to bring together the people of Folkestone through music, with people from all over the town contributing the story of how one particular song has impacted or defined the last year and a half of their life.
