Hello, Thank you for allowing me to join your group. I am Rob Gallagher. I am the wellbeing coordinator at Lomond Court care home in Glenrothes.
I would like to take the opportunity to invite everyone and anyone to come along to our open day/summer fete this coming Wednesday, 29th June at 2.30-4.30.
Our residents all live with varying degrees and types of dementia and this can at times lead to a feeling of exclusion from their community, where they lived, played and worked.
The theme for this years event is community and I am hoping to have as many community groups, organisations, as possible
to come along and join us. If you need more information or wish to book a stall, you will find the phone number and email address on the facebook page lomond court or type into your search engine. Thank you for reading. I hope you can join us! Rob
We have room if you wish to host your own stall to raise funds for your group. So far we have Glenrothes Mens Shed hoping to attend, Fife Gingerbread, Auchmuty Learning centre and more.
We also have Fifes Provost and The Tullis Russell Mills band, Olivers' Army therapy dogs and myself and our residents have been busy having fun remembering, making and playing old style carnival games for everyone to have bit of fun with.
There will be hot dogs, burgers, cold and hot drinks, cakes and the best of all......
you can throw a very cold and wet sponge at me in the stocks to help raise funds for our residents and Alzheimers Scotland!
I hope I have whetted your appetite and you will have some time to spare to come along and be welcomed and help our residents to feel more included in their community again!
Hi, if they ask for people to house refugees, I would be willing, but maybe I am thinking ahead of myself, I am on benefits, so how would the government handle this, do you think they would waver increasing my rent and alike, what's your thoughts.
I’m looking for group puppy training classes
I am looking to move to the Fife area, are there any areas of Glenrothes that should be avoided?
I wonder if the lovely people of Fife, can help my mum, Margaret Barton out...
She has a really good friend, Janette Price, from Mount Newman, Australia, that she hasn't heard from in the past 2 years. Janette came over to Glenrothes several times a year, to visit her sisters. One was called Winnie. We're just wondering if Janette is alright. I can't find her on Facebook even. I would appreciate any information that anyone has. Love your town. Visit the theatre. We're from Paisley. Kind Regards. Julie.
