Lost: Tan leather large briefcase on wheels - 0 replies

Rebeccalk Posted by Rebeccalk in Lost and found in Harborne on Thu Nov 23, 2023 2:11pm

Please help me find my beautiful work bag, it was taken from my drive on St Peter’s Road last night while I was unloading my car. It is very special to me, as it had some important sentimental items in it, including my grandfathers wooden handled hammer.  A number of items for me to execute my work, laser measures etc, but these can be replaced.  The hammer and bag itself are the items I would most like to be found or returned to me.  Please help if you can.  Thank you

QE parking support for 3 weeks - 0 replies

nannyt Posted by nannyt in Neighbourhood Watch in Harborne on Sun Nov 12, 2023 5:04pm

Hi Residents of Harborne,

I have a very close family member is going through chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Trying to get in and out of the QE to park is adding  to her anxiety.

Is there anyone that could find a corner of their car park for 3 weeks (day time Monday to Friday) close to the heritage building to make this a little less traumatic for our family.

Thank you kind citizens of Harborne

last year residents recieved a letter from birmingham city council in regards to a 20ft high tele coms pole being erected at the top of WAR LANE HARBORNE residents strongly appealed this decision since then we have had no correspondance, since then without further notice from the council 4 cabinets have been placed at the top of war lane this fits in line with the original plans to erect a 20 foot pole in front of residents homes. we must keep harborne as green as possible this is imperative placing a pole here would interefere with the natural habitat and vegetation for the allotments on war lane, not to mention it would be unsightly and in full view of all the flats and apartments at the top of war lane. there is also worry of electro magnetic field overload being such close proximity to residents, i strongly urge residents to contact thier local MP and birmingham city council we must urgently put a stop to this matter you can find details to your local mp on any search engine and birmingham city council, if you are not a nearby resident i ask you to act on our behalf and still contact the local MP please message me privately for further details

car parking fines - 0 replies

Mike Fitch Posted by Mike Fitch in General Harborne discussion on Fri Oct 14, 2022 5:14pm

Has anyone had a problem with SmartParking? I parked on the rear carpark at Iceland in May.

Although I paid for a ticket. for 1 hour  i did not overstay the time. Smart Parking sent me a fine.

Fortunately I had keep the ticket so was able to prove I did not overstay.

No so smart even sent me photos  of my car  arriving and leaving in under 40 mins

Smart Parking, or  not so smart parking make it clear they will not talk to callers unless it's to pay the fine.

I have emailed proof , i.e ticket and photos etc., but since May they have been persistent in chasing payment which is now £150. So please be careful when parking on the Iceland car park.

Depth collectors now chasing me, but I will not be paying the fine

Cheers.

Heavy lifter/s needed - 1 replies

Bea Wall Posted by Bea Wall in Recommended Tradesmen and Companies in Harborne on Thu Sep 2, 2021 1:34pm

Hi there.

I need a team of two or three very strong workers, or a series of single workers to come at the same time this Saturday (4th September) afternoon to help lift, carry, then hold the walls of an extremely heavy garden room, whilst my (already placed) worker screws the walls to the base; in Harbourne, this Saturday.

Payment will be discussed with candidates.

Please get in touch asap if interested.

Thanks for reading.

I am leaving the country soon and need to find a new home for my six tropical fish and snail. I don't want anything for them just a nice new home. Collect from Richmond Hill Road.
