Hi everyone! I've just joined and am not convinced I've got the right forum but here goes!

I recently visited Kingstanding during a weekend in Birmingham for the first time since 1977. I was staying with relatives for a week back then. This time, I had a couple of pints and a wander round but couldn't really remember it as I was 16 then, now 62.

My uncle took me to Kentucky Fried Chicken, the first time I'd ever had it. Can anyone tell me whereabouts in Kingstanding it was back then?

Hi I lost a set of house keys/cars keys yesterday on the Hawthorn road. door cam showed someone picking them up and asking neighbours a few houses down. 

Hi I'm Kaylee Knight. My beloved late dad Bill Knight lived in Kingstanding and my grandparents Jean and Bill respectively. I knew them apart from my grandad who passed away when I was 3. I'm now 36. My dad Bill passed away in 2020. I was very close to him. He was an amazing grandad to my 2 boys.. If anyone on here knew my family can you please share any memories please this would be a great comfort to us. Thank you Kaylee. 

looking  to find an old friend or family member back from when i went to gt barr comp mid 1950s i lived at 4 castleton road on beeches estate next door were the greatrex family  there was mom--wendy --john --peter --lived next door .im dennis hooper  my dad cut hair in the front room .--mom and dad were jim and rene hooper .dennis       just a quick memory of kingstanding my uncle was charles millichamp and worked in a big greengrocers  . also some time in the 50s we were on a bus in kingstanding when a terrible smog came down and all traffic stopped and we had to walk home.absolute so thick really couldnt see were you were walking .....dennis
