My grandfather lived in Mayland in 1925 and 1926, according to the electoral register in Chelmsford which I visited in February 2019. The address was given as Juyces cottages for both years, with this same spelling. This corresponds to an old photograph I have which my mother (now passed away) told me was of Mayland with her elder sister (also passed away) at the window (she was born March 1924 so this corresponds with the electoral register dates). In my visit I drove around but could not find the cottage (I now live in the north west midlands) but I spoke to one elderly man who believed they might be buildings demolished about 20 years ago at Joyces farm.

Can anyone help identify the location of the cottage in the photograph which I attach

Found: black and white cat with brown sides and white back paws, silver collar. Sadly deceased, saw it on corner of Grange Road opposite mayland mill. It was taken to church view vet in Southminster

I know this is a sad ending but hope the owner finds out what happened to their pet.
