Hello!

My name is Glen and I work as a Coop member pioneer here in Pontefract. I wanted to introduce myself to the community, offering help and support for charities and organisations.

My role as a pioneer is to connect people so that good things happen, supporting people and families to improve health, mental wellbeing and overall quality of life.

The Coop is currently looking for local causes to link up with and support over the next 12 months. By becoming a memeber of the Coop and generally shopping in our stores members and customers can directly contribute toward our chosen causes. Every time you spend a £1 as a member 2% goes into a community fund and the same goes for every carrier and bag from life purchased.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Personal Assistant / support worker to support a very sociable young man with a spinal injury in the Thorpe Audlin area of Pontefract.

You will support him with his activity programme and help him stay connected to his social networks, both at home and in the community, promoting an active and fulfilling lifestyle as well as facilitating personal care and domestic duties.

Training and supervision will be given.

Requirements

About you:

Essential:

• ability to be flexible with regards to shift cover to meet the client’s needs and at times at short notice
• committed to teamwork
• the availability to pick up overtime
• you have a full UK driving licence
• you can drive an automatic and manual vehicle
• ability to build a trusting relationship

Preferred:

• you have experience of supporting someone with a spinal injury

Well, summer's around and time to get out 😋 Finding  'playmates' at 50yrs old Isn't the easiest haha😄 - so looking for fun  40's to 50's who are finding themselves 'stuck' in when we should be Out n about!
