Bullying managers protected by St Albans Council - 0 replies

Ian5555 Posted by Ian5555 in General St Albans discussion on Fri Mar 29, 2024 7:31am

St Albans Council protecting bullying managers.

Daisy Cooper is the local Liberal Democrat MP for St Albans. Amanda Foley is the Chief Executive of the Liberal Democrat St Albans Council. I have nothing personal against either one of them but are they really serving their residents and constituents as they should.

Mr Marchin is a super who is in charge of a team of Civil Enforcement Officers who patrol the St Albans area. For well over 10 years this man has repeatedly bullied and harassed his own officers. God knows how many poor officers left the job out of sheer exasperation. Those who stayed on just carried on being bullied on a daily of basis.

Daisy Cooper was sent detailed evidence of this bullying and harassment nearly a year ago. Amanda Foley was also sent this evidence. I was a resident of St Albans so naturally I approached my local MP Mrs Daisy Cooper. She refused to help. I told her very clearly that I was a resident of St Albans and there were many other officers who were residents of St Albans too. Still Daisy Cooper refused to help. A Liberal Democrat MP looking after a Liberal Democrat Council even though her own constituents were suffering. And this is the very same Daisy Cooper who stood up in Parliament and attacked Gavin Williamson the Conservative minister for bullying his own staff. A sign of the times indeed.

For well over ten years, no matter how many tens and tens of officers having complained, the bullying manager, Mr Marcin, is still working for St Albans Council. Protected by the likes of Amanda Foley and Jane Pearce the Strategic Director. I have nothing personal with any of them and I will not be voting for any party at all but I must say that something is deeply wrong with our country

Bullying and harassment at St Albans Council - 0 replies

Ian5555 Posted by Ian5555 in General St Albans discussion on Wed Mar 27, 2024 6:56am

If you dare to make a complaint against St Albans Council you might as well start packing your bags and start looking for another job straight away. God knows how many Civil Enforcement Officers have been weeded out and sacked on bogus and trumped up of charges just for daring to make a complaint in the first place. Their livelihoods cruelly and callously taken away from them one after another in steady of succession. Poor souls. Alas, this is indeed a sign of the times. These Council executives are supposed to be public servants but they behave more like ruthless private sector companies and yet this is supposed to be a Christian country in which we live.

A major cover up is taking place at St Albans Council and it goes up right to the very top. Amanda Foley is the Chief Executive of St Albans Council. She was provided with detailed and very clear evidence of repeated and systematic bullying of Civil Enforcement Officers by two supervisors called Mr Marchin and Mr Julius. This bullying has been going on for more than 10 years now but the Chief Executive has repeatedly refused to take any action at all against those two Supervisors who had made life an absolute living hell for all of those poor bullied of officers. Yet if you go on the St Albans Council intranet you will find hidden away there a very glossy and colourful document which basically outlines how St Albans Council will not tolerate any bullying and harassment of its staff. Practice what you preach I say.

Rather than take proper disciplinary of action against those two Supervisors the officers who had made the complaints against them have been weeded out and sacked instead whilst the two bullying of managers were allowed to continue on with total impunity in their jobs. This is the sad and ugly truth about St Albans Council which Amanda Foley, the Chief Executive, is desperately trying to cover up. She doesn’t want the public to know

Just recently a very good Officer has been unfairly sacked. He was a model officer for St Albans Council and had nearly 10 years of service. His crime was that he had dared to complain against the bullying. We wish him well. Even the local MP for the St Albans area , Mrs Daisy Cooper, was presented with clear and graphic evidence of the bullying nearly a year ago. But this MP point blank refused to help. Tis indeed a sign of the times. The Liberal Democrat MP just didn’t want to criticise a Liberal Democrat Council even though her own constituents were being bullied and harassed on a daily of basis. We need to bring back Christian hymns at school.

Hi All,

I hope you don't mind me posting this. As you know the pandemic has been less than kind to office spaces/shops in St Albans, and it has been tough on businesses. We are considering converting our existing office space in the centre of St Albans, into a co-working space. Before we start this initiative, I am reaching out to our St Albans community to understand whether there is a need/want for a space like this in the first place. The idea is to provide a homely workspace away from home to get stuff done. I would be ever so grateful if you could take two minutes of your time to complete this quick survey? Thank you ever so much in advance!
