Tredegar Ambulance Service - 0 replies
Last night, a call was made on my behalf to the 999 Ambulance Service, as I was gasping for air due to an ongoing illness which scared me.
The NHS Ambulance Service was ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. It took ONLY TWELVE (12) MINUTES from the time they were notified to having the Paramedic and Ambulance people in my house assisting me. The care and assistance given was very quick, professional and caring.
The Ambulance Dispatcher remained in constant contact updating me where the Paramedic and Ambulance were until their arrival.
We hear so much negatives about the NHS this is one for them.
WELL DONE.

Iron Street Tredegar 1911 - 0 replies
Still looking for information on my family. This time it’s my great grandparents James and Ellen Bridges who had a Chip Bar at 7 Iron Street according to the 1911 census. Any photos of the street in those times out there?
Thank you
The Willows - 2 replies
I was born and brought up in Tredegar but left when I was 23. My great grandparents and their 4 children , the name Harrison lived in The Willows near Sirhowy Bridge , in the 1920’s 1930’s. Does anyone have anymore information. Was The Willows a school then? The family originally came from the West Country and I am trying to find out why they came to Tredegar and why they left as I know by 1953 they were living in Hereford. Thanks in advance for any information.

James Johnston Tredegar gold watch - 0 replies
Hi , I’ve got an 18k gold pocket watch left to me by my grandad years ago. I want to give it to my son as he’s getting married soon but I can’t find any actual history of the maker. Inside the watch it says James Johnston Tredegar. Does anyone know anything about him?
