I'm working with Bessels Green Baptist Church.

The church have been left a major legacy gift to deliver a community mental health project in the Sevenoaks area. The congregation have decided to launch a community garden or outdoor hub which will be designed to deliver therapeutic activities outdoors to the public.

The community garden will have a range of horticulture, nature connection activities, exercise and other therapeutic activities available to all. These would support mental and emotional wellbeing.

Additionally, the garden would support wellbeing by giving people a sense of belonging and responsibility in a safe space, and teach skills that would apply to other parts of their life.

I have been asked by the church to identify a site for the garden.

Ideally we are looking to partner with an organisation that could gift a space, but we could also consider leasing or purchasing land should the right site become available.

It could be:

·  An existing public green area, garden or park with space

·  A rundown site that needs new ownership or management

·  A brownfield site that could be regreened

·  A small woodland

·  An area/corner of another existing development

·  Or another innovative idea

We're really open to all ideas in the Sevenoaks area at the moment.

All ideas, vague, wacky or otherwise are welcomed!

I'm trying to find someone that I lost touch with over 30 years ago. Their name then was Carys Hughes, she had an older sister called Rosemary, her Dad was called Bill and had worked at the old Octel plant and they lived in From Ednyfed (not sure of spelling sorry). She went to the local high school and had a friend called Carrina (again not sure of spelling). Time line would have been late 70's. Carys went to uni in Liverpool and when last hears from was in the civil service in London. Any help most appreciated. Thank you

I hope this post is okay to be on this page! We have recently opened up applications to an upcoming explorative film production we are running in Chester this summer, and wanted to spread the word as much as possible.

Reels Up Creatives have just announced our first explorative film production: I WISH. 

Through 10 days of workshops, pre-production and production, 30 young people will take on their own specially-designed role, and play a key part in a professionally structured film production. The project is all about hands-on discovery, and learning how large-scale films are made. You will come on-board already knowing your own role and responsibilities, and you will collaborate with 29 other Creatives, our Reels Up team and Guest Industry Professionals to bring the world and story of I WISH to life. Then, we will get back together at our Film Premiere event to watch your production on the big screen. 

The project will be taking place at St Mary’s Creative Space in Chester between June - August this year. There are roles catered to anyone between the ages of 9-18. All that counts is that you are eager to delve into a large-scale film production, and want to take on your own key role!
