Alverstoke Garden Walkabout - a chance to visit 15 private gardens, enjoy teas, cakes and Pimms on 2/3 July 2022
Alverstoke residents are opening their private gardens to visitors.
15 private gardens to visit in Alverstoke Village, situated on the Hampshire Solent.
The seaside microclimate allows palms and exotic plants to thrive together with mature shrubs, while ponds, model railways, aviaries and garden art make the Walkabout a must visit event. Who doesn’t enjoy a good look around other people’s gardens? There will be plant sales and teas so bring some cash.
The Parish Centre will be open for toilets and teas, and you will be able to view the plans for the proposed new Parish Centre, for which this event is raising money.
Teas will be also served in some gardens and there will be a new Pimms Tent by the Alverstoke Parish Centre.
Included in the ticket price is an 8 page booklet listing the 15 gardens; a stylised map of garden locations; information about the Parish Centre RegenerationProject; gardening cross word and information on upcoming events. TICKETS: £8, Children under 12 FREE www.trybooking.com/uk/BOXK or from the Parish Centre, Alverstoke Village Hardware store, Queens Parade News or the Alverstoke Parish Centre.
