Alexander Herron - local farmer in early 1800s
My family were living in Kircubbin in the 1800s. My great great grandfather, John Herron, was a presbyterian and had the Herron Hall built in 1897. He, himself, was born in Kircubbin in 1820, the son of Alexander Herron, who was a local farmer. I know John had an older brother, William, but do not know about any other siblings. Both William and John moved to Liverpool, took apprenticeships at sea and both gained their Masters Certificates and later became shipowners.
I am seeking more information on their father Alexander, who I believe might have married Isabella Stratton.
Can anyone shed any further light on this family for me, please?
