Thank you

I want to say a huge thank you to a gentleman and a couple who came to my rescue the other day. I had been shopping at B & M on the Oxford Road and then headed off to Tesco’s to pick some shopping up for my neighbour.Upon arriving at Tesco’s I got my trolley and headed over to scan my card to do my shopping. I searched my rucksack for my purse only to find it wasn’t there. I retraced my steps to see if I had dropped it but to no avail.

I drove back to B & M to see if I had left it there when I was paying but wasn’t there so I got back in my car and headed back to Tesco’s to see if it had been handed in.

Unfortunately I was so worried that I had to pull over because I was having a panic attack.

Whilst sitting in my car a gentleman tapped gently on my window and when I explained my situation to him he suggested that I park on the side road and he helped me search my car to see if my purse had fallen out of my bag and was in my car. No luck!

He then took me back to Tesco’s to see if it had been found and handed in. Once again, no luck! He took me back to my car and I drove back to Pangbourne. 

I forgot to even ask him his name so if this was you I want to say a huge thank you! You were my guardian angel! 

I went round to a friend’s house and proceeded to cancel my cards.

The story doesn’t end there!

I get cash out from my account so I can budget according to my financial situation and had left some cash in another purse at home so collected that and went back to get my neighbour’s shopping.

Upon my return home I dropped his shopping into him and told him of my disastrous trip. As I was leaving his flat I saw someone at the front door to our apartment building so went to see who was there. A lady and her husband had found my purse in the car park at the B&M store and saw my address on my driving licence so called in to give it to me!

Another two guardian angels had been sent to help me. A huge thanks to them too.

These incidents have made me realise that there are truly wonderful people in this community.

I will be forever in their debt.
