Dear Hayling Islanders, We are a french registered camper with a tandem attached.We have got stuck here minding a seriously ill elderly relative plus now cant use campsites because of virus restrictions.So to all busy bodies,no we are not on some jolly but the camper is our only vehicle

Very new member who used to love the old Hayling Island forum.  Understand many of the reasons for changing the format, but I wonder how many people who (like me) used to log on regularly just to see what was happening currently on the Island.  Even used to enjoy the back chat and niggles that appeared!

Hello I have lived on Hayling for 11years. I am a widowed Man of 70 years young. I am aiming to increase my friend circle from zero to one. does not sound like a big deal, but from a mans perspective it is a giant leap. you see men in the main dont have man friends, they have buddies. i.e. at golf or bowls etc. you my be thinking, why dont you get a lady friend. boy have I tried, but alas as yet it is not to be. I know too well how lonely life can be on ones ownsome. so if you are looking for a friend, then include me on your list. Many Thanks .

Hello everyone.  

I was dog boarding in my South Hayling seafront home for years before I relocated to Wales.  Happily I've had an offer on my house here and will be moving back down south.  

Over the last five years I've enjoyed housesitting all over England and in France.

I would love the opportunity/reason to come back down to Hayling and house sit.  Would really love to see some of my old doggy friends again too!   I can give good references from former customers in Hayling etc.

ps.  I would not accept payment for housesitting in the Hayling area.  

 Usually when house minding, as well as walking and minding pets, I water plants and make the house appear inhabited.
