Relocating to Boroughbridge?

Hello, our family currently live in South Manchester. We are looking to relocate to North Yorkshire (husband originally from York). We have seen the new Harron Homes properties at Boroughbridge and the town looks lovely but we don't know the area. Could anyone tell us a little more about what it is like to live in Boroughbridge? We are a family of 6 with 2 nearly grown up sons and 2 young children age 7 and 9. Any advice would be very welcome. Thank you.
