Weeds on roads

You can try RMG but I suspect their answer will be that they don’t maintain the roads, just the verges and parks. Some roads have been adopted by Lancashire County Council, some are still the responsibility of BAE. And I suspect both will look at road repairs and not bother with weeds.

If every house weeded the kerb outside their own property that would clear the vast majority, but that will never happen...

Been in touch with RMG and always found Simon Pearson ,Estate Manager, really helpful, although on this occasion, as they don’t maintain the highways, it’s not down to them.

I also got in touch with Laura Lennox, a local councillor, but as no one really knows whose responsibility these  areas are, it’s difficult.

They have suggested getting in touch with developers,I.e. Barratts and Redrow.

Can’t see them doing anything but worth a try I suppose.

I agree most residents aren’t interested in keeping their own area clean and tidy!!!

Just to let you know after contacting Barratts, I have received a response saying that they are getting in touch with their maintenance people to clear the weeds.

Hopefully we’ll be seeing cleaner, tidier roads/paths/ areas around the village.
