Lost: Tabby and white cat in road accident

I'm so very sorry but on Sunday evening a white and tabby (possibly brindle) cat ran out in front of my moms car on the A51 just past Great Haywood. She was unable to stop in time and sadly hit the cat as it ran into the road. She is absolutely devestated being an animal lover and cat owner herself. She did turn around and drive back to attempt to get the cat off the road however it was dark and a bad area to stop so unfortunately had to leave the cat. She knocked on some doors near by but was unable to find the owner. Someone she spoke to kindly directed her to this website so I'm leaving this message for my mom in the hope the cats owner will see it.
