Hi , I have a good friend who lives in Halghton and he sent me a message asking about the History of Halghton Mill, I do know that it was mentioned in 1706 , but who ran the Paper Mill and how did it develop through the year’s, I help running the Wrexham-History website, so any info would be very interesting.

Hi there. Dont know anything about the will however my 4th Great Grandfather Samuel Clay was born at Halghton Mill according to his death certificate  and the 1851 census documents in about 1807. His parents were Thomas and Susan.  Samuel and his father were Blacksmiths.

Do you any know anything about blacksmiths in the area?
