HSBC bank changing to a takeaway restaurant in Market Deeping: do we need it?

DO WE REALLY NEED ANOTHER FAST FOOD OUTLET IN MARKET DEEPING.  The rumour is that it is to be a multi national company, selling pizza.

already within a 100 metres of the square there are 13 other food outlets, mainly run by local people,  if this one is given permission to go ahead it could be disaster for some of our other businesses.

i have dropped in a petition sheet to all the other outlets in Market Deeping, please call in to sign or why not write direct to SKDC giving support NOT to give permission,  26th February is deadline day.

I think another fast food outlet will be overkill. However, a building remaining empty for too long does very little to enhance the village. What would people like to become of the former bank? What are we lacking? Bakery? Deli?

we had 456 signatures in total, 98% of them were against another food outlet in Market Deeping, the other 2% were not actually in favour, but they would like to see the site being used instead of boarded up .

letters and signatures have been sent to SKDC, we will wait to see
