Hi,

I was wondering if anyone might have any knowledge of an old property in Old Fletton called Panter's House ?

I have traced my 6x great grandfather Edward Panter born in 1781 in Warmington, to living at Old Fletton on the 1841 and 1851 Census. The 1841 Census refers to Panter's house being to the East of the village. The 1851 Census refers to it as Panter's Row.  I think the house was on the main street near St Margaret's Church. If anyone has any information about the house or the      Panter family I would be very interested to hear from you.

Hi,

If you google the following link there is a really informative article about the migrants to Fletton who arrived on the back of the railway and brickyard developments:

Hi there,

Thank you so much for this link. It has taken me a long time to read the whole of it but it was very interesting to learn so much about the village of Fletton. Although there is no direct information about the Panter house/family that I am researching, it does give me an insight to the lives of the people in Fletton in the late 1880s. Again thank you so much it was kind of you to take the time to contact me.
