Missing birds.

Where have all the birds gone in the Northgate area of Tickhill. Last year there was virtually no bird life to be seen. Not even on roof tops and TV ariels. This year is looking poor again. Is someone operating a bird scaring device.
I always like to feed birds and watch them but the food goes untouched. I'd love them to return. Any ideas anyone? .
