My grandparents lived in Greenpeace Cottages, an L-shaped terrace of two up two down cottages built in the 1850s at Upper Haugh. The row was also known as Tagg Row and Levitt Hagg.

My earliest recollections of Upper Haugh date back to the 1940s and my mother, younger brother and I spent a lot of time there in 1944 to escape from the bombing where we lived in a London suburb.

I can share memories of the village in the 1940s and 1950s if anyone is interested.
